BUSINESS & SOCIAL
An accomplished companion for the evenings where the room matters more than the occasion.
Some evenings are work. A client dinner, a conference reception, an awards night where arriving alone is noticed. On these the brief matters more than usual.
Tell us what the evening is and who will be in the room. If there is a subject she should be able to hold a conversation about, say so. If there is a subject best left alone, say that too. Several of our companions have careers of their own, so a business conversation is no difficulty. It simply goes better when she knows what is coming.
If you would like an account of how the two of you know one another ready for the evening, settle it when the arrangement is made rather than in the car. The simplest works best: she is a friend. Almost nobody asks a second question.
Send the invitation or the dress code and the rest is handled.
Discretion matters more on these evenings than on any other kind, and they are treated accordingly. What happens in the room is not discussed afterwards, with anyone.
Membership is extended selectively through existing members, trusted referral or direct invitation. Private applications may be considered, but acceptance is never automatic.
